Core Values

Core Values

Our core values are who we are. These values were developed over time by several team members in our organization. They are truly a reflection of our highest selves. We are always working toward fulfilling these values and finding team members who will do the same. We are at our very best when we are living by and honoring these values.

1 Be Direct
Respectfully speak your mind without fear. Have the courage every day to be direct with team members in any position in and outside of the company. Tell it like it is - good or bad. If you feel uneasy about something, have the courage to go directly to the person involved and respectfully make your pre-prepared points.
2 Care
We value team members who care. Caring about our residents, without whom we wouldn’t exist. Residents need to feel appreciated. We show we care by listening, getting their input, holding resident events, and by keeping our properties well maintained. Caring about other team members, our most important asset. Care enough to show what’s working great with other team members. Caring enough about yourself to do a great job and feel the pride of competence.
3 Solve the Underlying Problem
Take charge of recurring problem areas by stopping to figure out a better way. Most policies are such because some innovative team member experimented in problem solving and was able to make improvements. But sometimes we outgrow an old way of doing things. Be a part of change and always be willing to break what we have to make it better! Call a meeting, pound your shoe on the table and help streamline/simplify/improve.
4 Do the Right Thing
We do the right thing, regardless of what anyone else says or does. We are ALL part of our company’s integrity, which is reflected in the decisions we all make INDIVIDUALLY every day.
5 Move Mountains
We all need to be able to move mountains to get big, important things done. Taking the bull by the horns and saying, “I’m not letting go of this project until it is 100% done to my satisfaction” is one of our most valued ethics. Don’t take “no” for an answer when someone tells you it isn’t possible. Learn, try new things, take educated risks in order to move things forward. Be proactive. Don’t accept stupid excuses for why something can’t be done.
6 Be Responsive
Take initiative to respond decisively and promptly to inquiries from customers and team members. Efficiency in communication is essential to success. Respond in the requested format (phone, text, email, vm etc) the same day... every time, no matter what.
7 Share the Spotlight
Nothing else can quite substitute for a few sincere words of praise and recognition. Share the spotlight freely and openly. If your team does a great job, make each individual feel appreciated and give them credit for a job well done.
